We book the lodge by the night, please check the calendar below and send us your request.

If for example you wish to arrive January 4 and depart January 6 please inquire to book the nights of January 4 and 5.

Check in time is 2 p.m.; check out time is 11 a.m.

Early/Late Season Rates: December 1, 2011-January 15, 2012 and April 2-close.

*Weekdays-$45 per person per night, no minimums, 6 person group for exclusive booking.

*Weekends/holidays-$50 per person per night, 8 person and 2 night minimum.

High Season Rates: January 16-April 1, 2012.

*Weekdays-$50 per person per night, no minimums, 6 person group for exclusive booking.

*Weekends/holidays-$60 per person per night, 8 person and 2 night minimum.

*Weekends are Friday-Sunday nights.

The Other Details-

We cannot accommodate day skiers without payment; skiing from Downing Mountain Lodge is reserved for lodge guests exclusively. Our goal is to create a community experience for guests desiring to ski multiple days at Downing Mountain.

*Payment in full is requested 70 days in advance of lodge arrival. A booking deposit of $150 is requested at the time of any booking. A 7% Montana bed tax will be added to invoices.

*Snowmobile shuttles for luggage and food are available for $100 for the first load from Switchback 11 to lodge. $35 for any additional loads. A snowmobile load is about 200 lbs and 16 cubic feet. We charge $150 per load from Hamilton to the lodge via truck and snowmobile for folks without AWD vehicles or chains. Extensions available to the Missoula airport. Lodge hosting is available upon request. Host will meet group, start fires, and show layout of lodge and mountain terrain. $75.

* We recommend packing in duffels, ski packs, and cardboard food boxes if requiring a shuttle. Plan to bring all your own condiments, spices and cooking ingredients as supplies are limited at the lodge.

*For outbound travelers we have a pull sled available for hauling out trash and extra food.

*We provide top sheets for the beds (4 twins, 4 doubles, and one queen), pillows and cases, please bring your own blankets or sleeping bag, towels for the shower and hot tub, and preferred bath and toiletry items

*We do book multiple parties during weekdays if not an exclusive booking.

-A group leader reserves the lodge and coordinates for their group. It is recommended that group leaders and participants have avalanche forecasting experience and that there are members of the group with relevant wilderness first aid training.

-All group members will be required to read and sign a liability waiver before using the roadway or accessing and using the lodge. It is the responsibility of the trip leader to coordinate the payment for the lodge and having participants sign the waiver.    

-Families are encouraged; children under 13 are free.

-Well-behaved, trained dogs are welcome for $10 per night per dog with a maximum of two dogs per group. Dogs must not be left alone at the lodge. Owners are expected to remove dog excrement from around the lodge area.
